Hello Goodbye's Blair (Ringo) King & Bryan (John) Hinton were caught hamming it up on the NBC morning news show "Today" Wednesday, February 4, 2004 as part of Today Show Reporter Katie Couric's week-long coverage of The Beatles 40th Anniversary of their historic first U.S. tour in 1964 and Beatlemania.
It seems that Joe Johnson of Majik 102 fm and syndicated radio program "Beatle Brunch" had a "sing a long to The Beatles" event in Ft. Lauderdale at Howl at the Moon located at Beach Place.
Mutual friends from Miami invited Hello Goodbye to attend. The only lads available that night were Bry & Blair, so they donned the togs and chelsea's, went down to have a pint and a giggle in support of anything and everything FAB.
After the show, the lads were spotted sprinting for last call at the bar and asked to say a few words about The Beatles and to sing a song. Though they specifically asked for cash before warbling and were suffering from a mighty thirst, the good natured pair then went on to belt out a blistering (or, was it blithering?) version of "No Reply" in the style of Sophie Tucker, their favourite American group!
If anyone saw the show (the lads did not, having to nurse hangovers) please sign the guestbook and let us know how our illustrious troubadors did!
