Sir Paul McCartney to wed Heather Mills "How I Proposed"
British Broadcasting Company/London                                                                                Paul & Heather in happier times.
Sir Paul McCartney said he was "a bit nervous" about proposing to Heather Mills, as the couple showed off her wedding ring. The pair became engaged as the pair were in the Lake District on Monday, when the millionaire rock star popped the big question. "When I proposed I was a bit nervous but I managed. We've had a good reception from reatives and freinds and the media" said Sir Paul, 59.
The couple, who broke the news to the press Thursday evening, were surrounded by a scrum of reporters and photograpers outside Sir Paul's London home in St. Johns Wood. Mills, a model and landmine campaigner said that "although she's still in shock", she was "over the moon". But she was still able to stand firm against photographers that asked for the couple to kiss. "We don't kiss on demand, it's spontaneous" she said. And Sir Paul described details about the engagement as "very private stuff", revealing only that they would get married next year. Mills, 33, added "it just all happened all of a sudden. My brother and sister were very pleased."

Sir Paul McCartney's Secret
Settlement to Heather Mills
11th December 2006 12:30:03
Sir Paul McCartney will pay estranged wife Heather Mills £120million in a secret divorce settlement, it has been reported. The former Beatles legend has been convinced to agree to the deal by his fashion designer daughter Stella, who is worried about his mental and physical health.

A source told Britain's News of the World newspaper: "Stella told Paul: 'If this goes on it could kill you. Being happy is more important than money'." Paul had a heart scare earlier this year and has been in therapy since he split from the former model in May.

It has been reported that Heather will be publicly awarded £10million, most of which she will donate to charity.  However, Paul will privately hand Heather £120million, which includes £3million a year for the divorce settlement and £2million a year in maintenance for their three-year-old daughter Beatrice.

JUST IN FOR 2007!!
check out our valued friend, Todd McFlicker's new book, "All You Need Is Love To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb: How The Beatles & U2 Changed The World" published by  Continuum publishing.

HG is figured very prominently in Chapter 10:  "The Tribute Bands".

On page 105 he writes "There are several Beatle cover bands that try to recreate the look and the feel of the group by wearing wigs and full costumes. They try to play the music note-for-note. Although these Beatles cover bands may be fun to watch, observers feel Hello Goodbye possesses more of a Beatles-like energy onstage than the others. Spectators want to experience what it was actually like to see the originals in a living, breathing environment, and Hello Goodbye are happy to oblige." READ MORE HERE

Now, that qualifies as an endorsement, mate! Thanks, Todd!
